About 45 minutes’ drive from our quinta is the centuries-old university town of Coimbra. Beautiful vistas, cosy squares, and the university with its famous university library
On sunny days, visit one of the beautiful river beaches – praia fluvial in Portuguese – for fun and refreshment.
Many river beaches have catering facilities for a snack or a nice lunch.
For a day out, visiting one of the beautiful waterfalls or strolling through a schist village is a nice change of pace
