Welcome to Henk and Rolanda’s Quinta do Regedor / the alderman’s house.
A perfect stopover for a round trip of Portugal and a great base to visit the cities and villages of central Portugal and to walk in the beautiful nature that the area harbors.
The house is located at the beginning of Covelo de Baixo on Rua Ptincipal in a small village of about 50 houses, surrounded by forests, orchards and hills and almost two kilometers away the river Mondego, you can also enjoy the area on foot. A city like Coimbra is easily accessible by car.
You can relax in the vineyard or under the olive trees and on the terraces.
And two spacious apartments with:

– refrigerator in the room

The Quarto Estável is located above the former stables and is wonderfully cool in summer.
Layout: entrance, spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and sink, attractive living space with a luxury box spring for a good night’s sleep.
In the room there is a kettle with coffee and tea and also a mini fridge to keep drinks or food cool.
On the patio a fully equipped kitchen.
The room is non-smoking and has wifi.
sótão
The Sótão is the attic and is our largest apartment. With two luxurious double beds (box spring), You can sleep here with four people. Your own bathroom, with sink, toilet and walk-in shower, is located one floor below. You can of course enjoy a game at the large dining table. Various games are waiting for you.
The room has a kettle with coffee and tea and a mini fridge. The fully equipped kitchen on the patio is at your disposal.
The rooms have wifi and are non-smoking.

about us
We are Henk and Rolanda.
For years we’ve had the dream to do something completely different again. We fell for Portugal for its warm and friendly people, the wonderful climate and beautiful nature. In the spring of 2017 we went looking for a possible house in central Portugal with a real estate agent. Within 15 minutes we fell in love with this house. It is a granite house from 1936, completely renovated and the previous owner was an Alderman, that’s why our house is called Quinta do Regedor.
In October 2017 we moved permanently to Portugal.
It is our wish to share with you all the beauty that our environment offers and the mentality of the Portuguese.
Typical for our quinta: You don’t have, but you can do anything
activities
Covelo de Baixo is located between two towns, Tabua and Arganil, both of witch have all kinds of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and a hospital.
Even larger cities such as Coimbra, the university city, and Viseu can be reached within an hour by car.
The famous seaside resort Figueira do Foz is also an hours drive away.
You can also walk from our quinta ro the river Mondego in 15 minutes or make rambles through the hilly landscape.
Or you can visit one of the beautiful river beaches.
